Assessment of solid and liquid industrial waste management in Savojbolagh county in Alborz province

Abstract

Total solid wastes Produced were 118,746 kilograms per day and Total liquid waste Produced 1942 cubic meters per day. The Capitation of Industrial solid waste was 5/51 kg per day and Average per capita industrial liquid waste was 544 liters per day. Machinery, chemicals and metal products industries had the highest amount of hazardous waste. The agricultural industries with 312 mg/ L had the highest amount of BOD and the cellulosic industries with 900 mg/ L had the highest amount of COD. The ratio Industries BOD / COD was 0.5. Only 17% of industrial wastewater is adhered to discharge standards.
Unsanitary disposal of hazardous waste mixed with other waste (landfill co) is the major challenge of Area. The Solid Waste Management with high pollution is machine industries, plastic and cellulose and chemical and the liquid waste management industries with high pollution are, agriculture and cellulose. Based on the creation and promotion of industrial waste management programs in this area is necessary.
