Results: Using real leachate as fuel in single MFC system, average power density output was achieved 35.13±9.64 W/m3, with COD, ammonium, phosphorus and TSS removal efficiencies of 91.25±1.5, 72.33±1.97, 63.04±2.52 and 54.6±3.79%, respectively. In coupled MFC system, average power density was achieved 35.47±11.06 W/m3, with COD, ammonium, phosphorus and TSS removal efficiency were 93.5±1.64, 75.6±2.83, 61.96±2.54 and 51.72±3.15%, respectively. In coupled MEC system, average input voltage and power density output was achieved 0.887±0.17V and 32.44±12.1W/m3, with COD, ammonium, phosphorus and TSS removal efficiency were 92.3±1.12, 70.64±3.29, 58.7±3.41 and 50.35±4.89%, respectively. The biogas production rate MEC system was 142 mL/L.d and with biogas yield of 5.72 mL/gCODrem. |
